Sticker shock.

Um, I just found out that the Odeon in Leicester Square charges as much as £17.50 for a movie.

That's thirty-five dollars.

For a movie.

They're currently running the new Hugh Grant/Drew Barrymore flick, Casino Royale, The Queen, and The Departed, among other films.

For thirty.
Five.
Dollars.

Well, they don't really have movie theatres in Ghana. For real. What we do instead is buy badly pirated American movies for like a dollar, and then watch them with really shitty sound and the French subtitles we can't turn off. It's fabulous.

You guys should both move to china... CHEAP as hell movies, with AMAZING sound systems in the theaters and dollar dvds on the street that play well...the best of all movie-loving worlds.
